– It’s spring Jaylen Hoard and we all live in it! The Frenchman certainly didn’t prevent Oklahoma City from losing in Los Angeles against the Lakers, but he was once again his team’s best player and put in an impressive performance. Admittedly, it was a low-cost version of the Lakers (the expensive version was not really more famous in any case…), but Hoard compiled 27 points (his NBA record), 17 rebounds , 4 assists, 1 interception and 1 against, playing 47 minutes out of 48!

Since OKC called him to the 10-day contract, Jaylen has 17.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 55.1% overall and 42.1% from 3 points. We really hope that a team will look into his case soon, whether for the playoffs or at the start of the school year, to integrate a roster where he can express himself and show his qualities over an entire season.

If you missed our interview with Jaylen Hoard, just before this game against the Lakers, she is still online on the site.

[ITW] Jaylen Hoard: his successful comeback, the French Connection of OKC and the Blues

– The Nets took a very interesting step towards the playoffs last night by beating Cleveland, to return to an equal record with the Cavs but a favorable waiver. Thanks to the 36 points of Kevin Durant in particular and at the end of the match better managed in defense (19 pts conceded in the 4th QT), Steve Nash’s players made their task easier. In all likelihood, they will find Cleveland in the play-in tournament with home advantage and a 7th place to validate.

– Friday in our podcast, we were talking about this superhuman ability of the Suns to crush everything in the 4th quarter. The Jazz took this reality in the face last night. Phoenix overcame a 17-point deficit in the final period to put a huge blow behind the calabash of Rudy Gobert (16 pts, 10 rebounds) and his teammates. The connection Chris Paul-Deandre Ayton was decisive 18 seconds from the end to register the winning basket and validate a 64th victory in the NBA this season.

– Miami, who topped Atlanta with a late-game dunk from Bam Adebayoand Milwaukee, which has easily paid Detroit, will finish in the first two places in the Eastern Conference. Giannis Antetokounmpo only needed 28 minutes to score 30 points, in a game where Killian Hayes started and finished with 6 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 block.

– Dallas obviously did not miss the opportunity to put a little more pressure on the Warriors in the fight for 3rd place in the West. The Mavs gutted the Blazers with a Luka Doncic far too strong for an opposition of this kind: 39 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists in 30 minutes. As a bonus: his 16th technical foul of the season, which allowed him to stay warm during the last regular game.

– The Raptors continued their work and their good momentum by narrowly winning at home against Houston, erasing 24 points from a deficit. Pascal Siakam had to be put to rest, but the Cameroonian (29 pts, 12 rebounds) was there to surf on his enormous level of the last few weeks. It is however Gary Trent Jr (26 pts) who scored the winning basket 4.8 seconds from the end, to validate Toronto’s 5th place in the East.

– Completely apathetic, the Bulls took a dance at home by the Hornets, who can still finish ahead of Atlanta in 9th place to be in a favorable situation at the time of the play-in tournament. LaMelo Ball (24 pts) was the best player in his team, which will end the season with a positive record for the first time since 2016.

– After a disastrous start, the Knicks took the measure of the Wizards, offering Obi Toppin the best night of his young NBA career. The sophomore interior broke his points record (35 pts) to allow New York to overtake his victim of the evening for the honorary 11th place in the East. Evan Fournier contributed 17 points at 6/14.
